I read about Tour Tempo on the Practical Golf blog. Jon Sherman endorses it. Took me about a year to get my head round paying for the app. I wish I’d done it sooner, the results were instant and I’m still using the app in practice 2 years on. In hindsight, while it’s relatively high cost for a simple app, the cost is less than one lesson and much less than equipment.

Just knowing my tempo and playing around with it, feels like a nice variable to practice! I’ll definitely be buying the full app but just want to get a few things ironed out and progress from a more solid foundation

I use the tones primarily for practice sessions in my net in the garden where, like you, the objective is to focus on strike quality or some other technical aspect without the distractions of ball flight or shot outcome. Using the tones seems analogous to musical instrument practice with a metronome, it helps dial you in
